Sainik School Admission Information
The Sainik Schools are a system of schools in India established and managed by the Sainik Schools Society under Ministry of Defence (MoD). MoD run Sainik Schools as joint venture with the respective state governments. These School is recognized by the CBSE. The College offers only the Science Stream at the +2 level. The objective of the Sainik Schools is to prepare the students to lead as officers in the Defence Services of the country. The schools select bright and promising students through an All India Sainik School Entrance Examination and focus on moulding their overall personality with emphasis on extracurricular activities.
Admissions are conducted once a year through an All India Entrance Examination. Boys are admitted in Classes VI and IX. Girls are eligible for selected schools.
Candidates must have passed the previous class from a recognized institution before admission.
67% seats are reserved for domicile candidates including SC/ST/Defence categories.
Admission is based on a written exam followed by a medical test.
